*DUE TO SUCH OVERWHELMING RESPONSE, all those attending the appeal hearing need to ARRIVE AS EARLY AS 7:30am eastern when the building opens to avoid the possibility of a logjam going through security. The hearing is pretty quick and we want to be sure everyone gets seated!

*The protocols below apply for both the main courtroom and the overflow courtroom.

Inside the courtroom:

• No political attire in the courtroom! This includes buttons, LOGO and/or SLOGAN t-shirts, hats, stickers, wristbands, etc. Wear plain court-appropriate clothes. Covid masks are encouraged and allowed.
• Courtrooms are formal places, you will need to stand when the judge and jury enter the courtroom.  No noises (no grunts, guffaws or giddiness), no outbursts, etc. will be tolerated by the judge—you may be asked to leave the courtroom. If the judge scolds you, it looks bad on our folks and their legal team.
• There will be an overflow courtroom where people can watch the oral arguments proceedings live on a monitor. If the courtroom is full, or if you have to get up and leave numerous times, you may prefer to use the spillover courtroom.
• No weapons of any kind. Make sure to remove pepper spray or pocket knives from your purse or keychain.
• No personal electronic devices (for example, cell phone, laptop computer, tablet, or Smart watches or glasses, etc.) beyond the courthouse’s security checkpoint. YOU NEED TO LEAVE CELLPHONES IN YOUR CAR or outside the courthouse.
• Must present a valid official photo identification, such as a state identification, state driver license, federal identification, military identification, or passport.
• Visitors must pass through a metal detector and place personal items in a tray to be scanned by x-ray.  Assume all areas in and around the courthouse are under 24/7 surveillance cameras.
