In early July, a federal judge granted a preliminary injunction ruling that government agencies could not talk to social media companies for “the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.” U.S. District Court Judge Terry A. Doughy expressed concern that “the government has used its power to silence the opposition.”
“Twitter Files” journalist Matt Taibbi writes that the censorship case exposed “a complex system to mass-funnel content recommendations from enforcement agencies and politicians to tech platforms.”
The Biden administration is attempting to use all available means to silence dissenting voices as can be seen in this social media censorship case and in the FBI raids and indictments of the Uhuru 3.
