From Cuba to Palestine to the Hands Off Uhuru Movement – The Voice of People Continues to Amplify!

“To resist radical evil is to endure a life that by the standards of the wider society is a failure. It is to defy injustice at the cost of your career, your reputation, your financial solvency and at times your life. It is to be a lifelong heretic. And, perhaps this is the most important point, it is to accept that the dominant culture, even the liberal elites, will push you to the margins and attempt to discredit not only what you do, but your character.”

– Chris Hedges

The U.S. Empire can no longer sustain itself with all the proxy wars occurring overseas. However, mainstream media and all major social media platforms are trying their best to suppress the truth that is going on around the world. This parasitic and destructive system that continues to break down the social fabric of humanity, drives people into despair and isolation. Speaking and showing support from Cuba to Palestine to all nations around the globe, we all know that we are all fighting a common enemy…Colonialism and all the Global Hegemonic Ideologies that come with it. We have to continue to reach out to the people daily to continue to build mass movements if we have any chance of making any real radical revolutionary changes.

The Palestine movement has galvanized a whole new generation of radical individuals such as the students in many universities across the nation. The younger and more radical groups are no longer buying into the propaganda Israel and the U.S. Government continue to feed to the public.

Cuba, an island just a little over 90 miles away from Florida continues to struggle because of the economic sanctions imposed by the U.S. Government since the early 60s ever since the 1959 Cuban Revolution. To make matters worse, the previous administration which at the time was led by Donald Trump, added Cuba back to the SSOT (State Sponsors of Terrorist) list even though there is no evidence Cuba supported terrorist acts. Current president Joe Biden continues to withhold the same draconian policies against Cuba that are making life for the Cuban people unbearable.

Organizer Lisa Davis from the Black Is Back Coalition and the Hands Off Uhuru Coalition spoke about the ongoing struggle black and brown people are facing today. Here are the demands the people listed:

  • Hands Off the Uhuru Movement.
  • End the Israeli Occupation and Genocide in Palestine.
  • Stop funding Israel and redirect funds to reparation for the black community.
  • Hands Off Haiti and Africa.
  • End the blockade Against Cuba.
  • Free Leonard Peltier, Mumia Abu-Jamal, and All Political Prisoners
  • Stop the police murders of black and brown people
  • End gentrification
