In this video and in an extraordinary letter to President Biden, Mr. Reynolds said, “I write today from a position rare for a former prosecutor: to beseech you to commute the sentence of a man who I helped put behind bars.” Reynolds letter underscores the injustice of Leonard Peltier’s continued incarceration – in the sunset of their lives, even those who prosecuted him are asking for Leonard’s release. Mr. Reynolds letter also notes that “Leonard Peltier’s conviction and continued incarceration is a testament of a time and system of justice that no longer has a place in our society.” President Biden, compassion and mercy demand Peltier’s release.
